In front of them, backs of two young USA gymnasts, sitting on the floor, watching the events, wearing their track suits with "USA" in red on the back. In the distance, the gymnastics arena - green floor and beam. In the far distance, the other side of the arena - the stands filled with watchers.

Clinician Consultation & Training

Supporting clinicians who work with athletes, performers, and high-performance populations.

Working with athletes and high-performing clients is uniquely complex. Many clinicians find themselves navigating identity, pressure, injury, trauma, burnout, and performance culture without having received formal training in sport-specific or high-performance systems.

I offer consultation and training for clinicians and providers who want a supportive, trauma-responsive, sport-informed space to deepen their confidence, clarity, and skill.

Who This Work Is For

My consultation services are designed for:

  • Licensed and pre-licensed mental health clinicians
  • Prescribers and interdisciplinary providers
  • Providers interested in or currently working with:
    • athletes
    • performers
    • high-performance or achievement-oriented populations

This includes providers who are newer to this work, as well as those looking to refine and deepen an existing focus.

Areas of Focus

Consultation and training may include:

  • Understanding the athlete and high-performance mentality and culture
  • Trauma-responsive and developmentally informed care
  • Injury, burnout, identity disruption, and transitions
  • Navigating sport systems (parents, coaches, teams, power dynamics)
  • Ethical decision-making in performance contexts
  • Intersections of race, culture, gender, identity, and performance
  • Distinguishing mental health care from performance-focused work — and knowing when and how they overlap

Ways to Work Together

Small-Group Clinical Consultation

Intimate, cohort-based consultation groups designed to support learning, case discussion, and community-building among clinicians. Groups are intentionally small to allow for depth, trust, and meaningful dialogue.

Individual (1:1) Clinical Consultation

Personalized consultation for clinicians seeking deeper support around case conceptualization, scope of practice, professional identity, or working with high-performance clients. Consultation is tailored to your population and goals.

Training, Speaking, & Professional Education

I provide trainings and talks for organizations, programs, and professional communities interested in athlete mental health, trauma-responsive care, and whole-person performance.

What Providers Are Saying

“I am sending you a quick note of thanks for your trauma-informed coaching workshop this summer. I was speaking with one of my athlete’s parents and they told me a story…I felt so grateful that I had been able to attend your training and learn how to begin ending the cycles of trauma…Thank you so much for your work and for your heart!”

– Coach R.

“Thank you for the consult. It was so spot on. I never thought of it from that athlete point of view since I was never in that competitive sports world. But since we talked about it, it makes total sense. I brought it into my next session with my client, and it unlocked some new things for [them] and for our work together!”

– Executive Coach M.
